The pencil drawings depict metaphorical objects and the landscape of the Pearl River estuary related to the history of piracy in South China. In recent years, the artist has followed local historical stories and legends, collecting objects from historical and fictional locations and then hiding the works back under the water in the mountains, completing the exchange of objects with the landscape.
