The loong came into being out of imagination.

The video shows classical loong images in Chinese culture and is made frame by frame with a digital model. The traditional image the loong represents, a spiritual totem, is deconstructed, thus being left as the object to be amused, licked, tickled, and huddled, pointing towards the absurdity and despair widespread in reality. The descending quantity of loongs and the bottom-up presentation reveal a stable “tower,” a back view, and a pursuit of spirituality.

The sound is a collaboration with independent musician Zhang Jianfeng. The main instrument is the Chinese drum. Combining video with the music, the intricate world in the experience unfolds itself, a surge of emotions in the fighting, a flush of delight in the dilemma.
