A worker is an individual who does not own means of production but lives on his pay.

In October 2023, after completing the work Notes by the Survivor, Dong Jinling responded to her more than a decade worker identity, adding artistic language to the production perse. Each month, she uses part of her wage to hire a worker to cast a closed female pelvis. Production, the producer, relations of production, and creation all end in the casted pelvis. A heavy metaphor, the conception of life is back in the consumption cycle with a price tag. The will-be history of today is also the history where the bodies are in the consumerism setting.
