ZENG Hong
b. 1974
Zeng Hong was born in Ziyang, Sichuan in 1974. He graduated from the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts. Now lives and works in Beijing. The experiences of collectivist factory life permitted his unique way of expression. When depicting architecture and “publicized personal spaces,” the artist used a working method similar to technical drawing, visually and psychologically representing the tension between creation and repetition, vitality and captivity, monotony and richness.
Recent exhibitions include: tone, Reflexion Gallery, Beijing (2024); A Composite Leviathan, Bridge Projects, Los Angeles, U.S. (2020); Factories, Machines and the Poet’s Words: Echoes of the Real Ties in Art, 798 Art Zone, Beijing (2019); Tangle of Revolution and Political Soul, SGA, Shanghai (2021); Quanderni Rossi, Ginkgo Space, Beijing (2018); Unknown Form, Gallery Yang, Beijing (2017); Key-Frame Extraction, Telescope, Beijing (2015); Zeng Hong, Gallery Yang, Beijing (2015); Zeng Hong, Boers-Li Gallery, Beijing (2012).
