GUO Longyao

Guo Longyao’s works are aerial shots of his daily life when he grew up in the countryside. He placed the main character outside the frame, making him stand together with the audience and the author, becoming one. They watched and felt the scene of Guo Longyao’s early life together. These scenes are a mixture of shared memories and imaginations of multiple characters, confusing, blurring and even losing specific details that vary from person to person and from time to time. The soft scenery stores the characters’ deep and light breaths, while the bright place accumulates his calm and clear gaze, presenting a certain solid, enduring, pure, beautiful, free, and spiritual quality that is not shaken or tainted by the harsh realities and difficulties in front of or behind them.

Guo Longyao, Born in Gansu in 1989. Graduated from Chuanyin Chengdu Academy of Fine Arts in 2013 and currently lives and works in Beijing.
